Immigration Update: Digital Nomad Visa Income Thresholds

As of early 2024, the Civil Registry and Migration Department has updated the criteria for the Cyprus Digital Nomad Visa scheme.

**New Financial Criteria:**

The minimum stable net monthly income remains at **€3,500**. However, the scrutiny on the *source* of this income has tightened.

- **Banking Proof:** Applicants must show 6 months of bank statements, not just 3.

- **Contract Validity:** Employment contracts must explicitly state "remote work allowed" and be of indefinite duration or at least 12 months remaining.

**Family Members:**

The threshold increases by 20% for a spouse and 15% for each child. For a family of three, the main applicant needs approximately €4,725 net monthly.

**Processing Times:**

Due to high demand, processing times have extended to 5-7 weeks. We advise clients to maintain valid tourist status during this period.
